Applied Behavior Analysis
We're dedicated to improving the lives of the children we serve!
Our goal is for our clients to learn new skills and have fun while doing it. The Rochester Center for Children (RCC) provides one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder or other related diagnoses. RCC believes in teaching through play and utilizing positive reinforcement strategies. You will find that a majority of the child's day is spent in their natural environment, alongside their peers. Providers work to teach new skills by utilizing the child's motivation & unique interests.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach to understanding and improving behavior. ABA focuses on understanding the reason behind the behavior and teaching new, appropriate ways of communicating or replacement behaviors that achieve the same goal.

What do we do?

Each child in our program has their own unique set of individualized goals that they work on when receiving therapy. Goals may include things like improving communication skills, teaching play skills, increasing independence, reducing challenging behaviors, and increasing social skills.

  • Rochester Center for Children collaborates with the child's family to ensure the individual is receiving the best support and progress toward the goals that are important to them.

  • We believe that collaborating our services with other professionals and service providers is incredibly important & impactful in a child's progress.

Our clinical supervision team is on-site daily. This allows for a child's progress to be closely monitored and ensure that they are making progress towards their goals & that the services provided are consistent with best practices.
